Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how [Business Name] ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Personnel mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly:
- Account information: When you register, we collect your name and email address. Your password is stored as a one-way cryptographic hash and is never readable by us.
- Band and roster data: Information you enter into the App, including band names, member names, member email addresses, roles, gig details, and scheduling information.
Information collected automatically:
- Usage and diagnostic data: We may collect information about how you use the App, including crash reports, error logs, and general usage patterns. This data is collected to help us identify and fix technical issues and improve the App's performance. It does not include the content of your band or gig data.
- Device information: We may collect information about the device you use to access the App, such as the device type, operating system version, and a device identifier.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account, and verify your email address.
- Provide the App's core features, including band roster management and gig scheduling.
- Send transactional emails, such as your email verification code. We do not send marketing emails.
- Monitor and improve the App's performance, diagnose crashes, and fix bugs.
- Protect the security and integrity of the App and our users.
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the following service providers, solely to the extent necessary to operate the App:
- Mailgun: We use Mailgun to deliver transactional emails (such as your verification code). Your email address is transmitted to Mailgun for this purpose. Mailgun's privacy policy is available at mailgun.com/privacy-policy.
- Fly.io: Our servers and database are hosted on Fly.io. All application data, including your account and band information, is stored on Fly.io infrastructure. Fly.io's privacy policy is available at fly.io/legal/privacy-policy.
- [Analytics Provider]: We use [Analytics Provider] to collect diagnostic and usage data as described above. This service provider is contractually prohibited from using your data for any purpose other than providing services to us.
We may also disclose information if required by law, court order, or government authority, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or the public.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account and band data for as long as your account is active. If you request that your account be deleted, we will remove your personal information from our systems within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes. Aggregated or anonymized diagnostic data that cannot identify you may be retained indefinitely.
5. Data Security
We take reasonable technical measures to protect your information, including storing passwords as one-way hashes and transmitting all data over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
7. Your Choices
You may update your account information (such as your name) directly within the App. If you would like to request deletion of your account and associated data, please contact us at the email address below. We will process your request within 30 days.
You may opt out of diagnostic data collection by uninstalling the App. Note that core App functionality (account creation, email verification) requires that we process your email address and cannot be disabled independently.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
